The Maxel Rage Pro 90 is built for anglers pushing the limits of slow pitch jigging in ultra-deep water or targeting powerful species like yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, amberjack, and deepwater grouper. Designed with strength, durability, and cranking power in mind, the Rage Pro series represents the next evolution of Maxel’s proven Rage platform.
This reel features a lower gear ratio and high-torque design, allowing anglers to maintain power and control while working heavy jigs in deep water. Combined with Maxel’s advanced internal engineering and rugged one-piece frame, the Rage Pro 90 delivers smooth drag performance, exceptional cranking torque, and long-term reliability in demanding offshore conditions.
Note: The Rage Pro 90 is only available in the standard width model and is not produced in a narrow “N” version.
Engineered for Serious Jigging
The Rage Pro series incorporates Maxel’s most advanced reel technologies, including the patented Karman System, which eliminates spool lock even under extreme drag pressure. This ensures the drag remains smooth and predictable whether fighting powerful fish or breaking off a snag.
The reel also features M-Power Torsion Mechanics for improved cranking torque, a Gradual Drag Cam for more precise drag adjustments, and a dual carbon fiber drag system capable of handling heavy loads during long battles.
The rigid one-piece aluminum frame, combined with cold-forged aluminum spool construction and heat-treated stainless steel gearing, provides the strength required for deep-water jigging while maintaining smooth operation.
