The Winthrop Tackle Terminator Adjusta-Butt Series redefines offshore versatility. Instead of choosing between a straight or bent butt, Winthrop gives you both—and more. With a simple push of a button, the Adjusta-Butt converts instantly, letting you shift the rod’s fighting angle without removing it from the gimbal or reel.
Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and built around a hardened stainless-steel positioning mechanism, every Terminator model delivers strength, precision, and the reliability serious offshore anglers depend on. The Delrin collet nut design keeps the hood locked tight, preventing rotation and loosening under heavy load.
When battling large pelagics, position is everything. Keep the butt straight when the fish runs directly away, then switch to a bent position for maximum leverage and control as the fight goes vertical. Adjustable machined hoods fit reels from 30-wide up to 130-wide, and most electric reels fit seamlessly—namely Daiwa Seaborg, Daiwa Tanacom, and Shimano Beastmaster models.
