Maxel Rage 90N Slow Pitch Jigging Reel
The Legendary Narrow-Version of the Rage Series — Now Discontinued.
The Maxel Rage 90N has long been considered one of the most powerful reels available for serious slow pitch jigging in ultra-deep water. Designed to handle heavy jigs and brutal fights, this reel has proven itself when targeting powerful species like amberjack, grouper, yellowfin tuna, and bluefin tuna.
This model represents the previous generation of the Rage series, preceding the newer Rage Pro lineup. While the Pro series introduced several updates, Maxel made the decision to eliminate the narrow (N) versions from the new models.
That means the Rage 90N is no longer being produced. Once current inventory sells out, this narrow-spool version will be gone for good.
Many slow pitch anglers actually prefer the narrower spool design, as it keeps line stacking tighter and more controlled during vertical jigging. For anglers who like the feel and balance of a narrow reel, the Rage 90N remains a highly sought-after option.
Built for Deep Water Power
The Rage 90N features Maxel’s proven engineering including the patented Karman System, which helps eliminate spool lock during heavy drag situations. Combined with M-Power Torsion Mechanics, a gradual drag cam, and a dual carbon fiber drag system, the reel delivers serious cranking torque and reliable drag performance when fighting large fish at depth.
The rigid aluminum construction, precision gearing, and corrosion-resistant finish ensure this reel holds up in harsh offshore environments.
