Johnny Jigs® Torpedo Sand Eel Slow Pitch Jig – Northeast-Inspired Tuna Profile
The Johnny Jigs® Torpedo Sand Eel Slow Pitch Jig was designed with the Northeast U.S. fishery in mind, where sand eel imitations are a proven producer on tuna and other aggressive predators. This in-house color pattern features a copper, gold, green, silver, and white blended finish over holographic foil, giving the jig a natural baitfish look with plenty of flash.
This color does not feature UV glow, making it a great option when a more natural, less aggressive visual profile is desired.
Built on the proven Torpedo mold, this jig is designed for a fast drop speed that makes it possible to fish efficiently in challenging current and drift conditions. Its balance-weighted design allows the jig to fall horizontally and produce a mild to moderate action under little to no line tension.
With tuna specifically in mind, the Torpedo Sand Eel is an excellent choice when you need to get down quickly while still presenting a baitfish-inspired profile that matches the forage. It is also productive on trophy bottom species in the right conditions.
