Temple Reef’s Innovate Series represents a bold step forward in slow pitch rod design—created in collaboration with renowned Temple Reef Prostaff Benny Ortiz. The Innovate was engineered to accomplish what was previously impossible: deliver unmatched action, serious backbone, and additional length for both long-fall jigging and improved maneuverability on today’s larger boats.
Built on a proprietary 70/30 two-piece joint, the Innovate maintains flawless power transfer and a seamless bend curve while offering travel-friendly pack lengths. Each model is fitted with a premium Fuji KW + LBD guide train, designed to handle larger-diameter leaders while still maintaining smooth, tangle-free performance.
At just 6oz (180g), the Innovate is light enough to fish all day yet powerful enough to stop just about anything that swims.

The Innovate 2.0 now features Temple Reef’s Direct Sensory System™ (DSS)—a proprietary enhancement that dramatically increases sensitivity while also reducing overall rod weight.
