The Johnny Jigs Pro Jigger PJM25 SPJ Reel is our first-ever professional slow pitch jigging reel—purpose-built to meet the demands of dedicated jigging anglers. After years of testing, tweaking, and pushing other reels to their limits, we’ve created a reel that finally checks all the boxes: smooth power, smart design, and true slow pitch-specific performance. It is available in Right Handed and Left Handed retrieve variants, so anglers can choose the correct retrieve side for their setup.

This conventional-style reel features a built-in level wind system—a rare addition in the slow pitch world—providing clean, even line lay without compromising control or sensitivity. The level wind is fully synchronized, meaning it travels smoothly across the spool both while retrieving line and while line is going out, ensuring even line distribution throughout the entire fight. Every component is tuned for precision jigging, from titanium spring washers and USA-made carbon drag washers to salt-tested sealed bearings and an ergonomic rubber T-bar handle.

The reel also includes a rigid support plate on the top of the frame—engineered to prevent body flex or warping under heavy drag pressure. This added stability keeps the entire gear train aligned and smooth, especially during intense fights with big fish.

This is the medium-size model in the new Pro Jigger series. A larger size is in development and will be announced soon, ensuring you’re ready for everything from nearshore reef thumpers to deepwater bruisers.
