The SPATHE DEEP 2.0 is a specialized high-performance fishing rod. Its lightweight, sensitive construction requires proper care.
- Leader Recommendation: Use a leader no heavier than 80 lb, joined to braided main line with a properly tied PR or FG connection.
- Protect the Blank: Avoid impacts, drops, or contact with hard surfaces that could damage the rod's thin-walled construction.
- Maintain Proper Fighting Angles: Avoid high-sticking, excessive rod angles, and sudden shock loads. Use controlled pressure and the reel's drag system when fighting fish.
- Inline Channel Care: Keep the internal line channel free of debris and inspect connections to ensure smooth line travel.
