The Temple Reef Ronin GT/Tuna Stickbait Rod Series is a heavy-duty offshore casting rod designed for targeting yellowfin tuna, GT, and other powerful pelagic species with stickbaits, pencils, and other casting lures. This is the standard, non-travel Ronin, featuring a 2-piece butt-joint design. Anglers specifically looking for a travel rod should choose the Ronin Expedition.
Available in 83-6, 83-8, and 80-10, the standard Ronin covers increasingly heavy offshore casting applications. The 83-6 is the lighter model for smaller lures and lighter line; the 83-8 steps up for larger tuna and heavier stickbaits; and the 80-10 is the most powerful standard Ronin, rated for 80–120 lb line, lures up to 200 g, and PE 8–10 applications, making it the primary standard Ronin option for anglers targeting 100–150 lb class yellowfin tuna.
